Duane Marshall Harris, age 87, of Temple died Wednesday
Apr 16, 2018Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 7th at Temple Bible Church - Creekside Center with Rev. Gary DeSalvo officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Greathouse Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 PM Friday, April 6th at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.Mr. Harris was born to Dallas R. Harris and Doris Folden Harris on February 12, 1931 in Lewistown, Montana. Duane married his beautiful wife Pat Harris June 3, 1956 in Decatur, Illinois. He worked as a Salesman most of his life selling boats and campers nationwide. He won numerous awards in his industry and traveled all over the US and won trips all over the world. He served in the US Air Force and played on the US Airforce Football Team from 1950-1954.Duane has been a member of Temple Bible Church for over 30 years and enjoyed being a part of Buck’s Bible Study Group for many years. He loved the Lord with all his heart. Besides his family, Duane’s greatest love was his horses. Duane was running his tractor and caring for his horses until just recently.He is survived by his wife, Pat Harris of Temple, his son, Kevin Harris and wife, Donnet Harris of Coppell, and his daughter, Kimberly Harris Romano and husband, Tony Romano of Atlanta, Georgia. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; Tyler Harris and Lauren Harris of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Kate Harris of Coppell, Andrew and Matthew Romano of Dallas, Dallas Chagoya of Carrollton and Parker Chagoya of Atlanta, Georgia. Duane was preceded in death by his parents and all four of his siblings: Derald Sonny Harris of Temple, Darlene Harris of Marble Falls, Delores Brown of Shelbyville, Illinois and Bryce Harris of Florida.Paid Obituary...
